This class is offered in March New Online Stock Selection Guide Workshop
Focus: Why one should use the Stock Selection Guide Hands-on SSG Plus Training
The Class will introduce you to a new and improved online stock selection guide, the SSG Plus. This internet based guide was designed specifically for those who use smartphones, tablets, Apple Computer products and non-Windows and Windows based operating systems so they can enjoy all the benefits PC users alone have enjoyed for the past many years.
The first part of the meeting will focus on how using the stock selection guide yields insight into the fundamental performance of a company over the past ten years and how this data can be used, together with other data sources to improve one’s selection of stocks.
Like past Better Investing Stock Selection Guides, the information is presented in a highly graphic form that enables adept users to quickly eliminate stocks that don’t measure up to one’s own investing criteria and find and focus on those that do. This part of the workshop is intended to provide you with the understanding of WHY the SSG Plus is something you need to learn to use.
The last part of the workshop will be a hands-on training session walking the group through how to use the SSG Plus. Be sure to bring your smartphone, tablet or laptop along. You will also need your membership ID and password to sign into the website. For non-members, you’ll need to sign up for a 30 day free trial in order to walk through the demo.
Features of the SSG Plus
The website downloads ten years of graphic and tabular stock information on over 8000 companies usually in less than five seconds. This data enables the user to make quick data driven judgments of whether the stock is worthy of further consideration or not. Links are provided to common sources of information about companies that often provide investors with the information they need to make better informed judgments about their stock selections.
The websiite includes ten years of the following data: sales, pretax profit, earnings per share, high and low prices, current price, return on equity, percent debt to capital, pretax profit on sales, high and low price to earnings ratio history, dividends, payout ratio, and more.
It performs calculations on the judgments the user has entered to determine the up side and down side risk of buying the stock, the total and average returns on the investment over five years and more.
Includes functions for saving, emailing, printing, storing and retrieving SSG files and more.
